Summary
A Purchasing Assistant is responsible for monitoring stock levels at the warehouse, delivering goods to venues, receiving goods from suppliers and making sure in good quantity and quality, searching for goods to suppliers, and supporting other purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with other departments to identify their procurement needs and preferences.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulations.
- Verify the quality of received goods and address any discrepancies or issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in a related field may be preferred.
- Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
